Description
PASylation®, the drug conjugation with unstructured, uncharged and highly hydrophilic PAS polypeptides, increases the hydrodynamic volume of the drug above the kidney pore size, slowing down kidney filtration. PASylation® allows fine-tuning of pharmacokinetics by variation of the PAS polypeptide length. Available as unmodified, N-terminally protected by pyroglutamate or iodoacetyl functionalized proline/alanine-rich sequence (PAS) polymer.
Iodoacetyl-PAS(200) reacts with free thiol groups on biomolecules. The iodine group will be replaced by the thiol group of the drug to form a stable carbon thiol bond.
